Missed Corrections

“New to your podcast, so you may have already heard this. But listening to Ep. 29 right now and the answer to your Earthquake question is indeed Alaska, not Oregon.” - submitted by Travis

  • Magneto’s Real Name - “I said his name was Erik Lessnar. I suppose I was thinking of the wrestler Brock Lessnar. In the movies, Magneto’s real government name is Erik Lehnsherr. In the comics it is Max Eisenhardt.” - submitted by Quizmaster Lee
  • Erin Sullivan and Andrew Fiffick wrote in to inform us that the classic Disney animators name is pronounced Ub, like “chub” as Andrew puts it. He adds that Ub Iwerks “isn't one of Walt Disney's 9 old men because he had left the company in 1929 and the 9 old men, who were all animators, came about in the mid 30s. Ub did return to the company in 1940 and pioneered many special effects used in their films.”
  • “Let me start by saying, that I am a religious listener of the podcast. I get a good laugh each and every episode. Keep up the good work. But...as a North Carolinian, a NASCAR fan, and a general trivia enthusiast, I am cringing every time I hear you say “Carl” Yarborough. The man’s name is Cale, which is short for Caleb.” - submitted by Dan Lundberg in our FB group.
  • “Ahh no, with Seth's impressive plethora of knowledge it actually makes me a bit sad to have to correct him. While "sussing" during the lil pacs episode Seth made the statement that the only disease to have ever been fully eradicated was polio and as a virologist I had to say something. The only disease to have ever been fully eradicated was smallpox, which was officially declared eradicated in 1980. Efforts to eradicate polio did not actually start until 1988. Since 1988, polio cases have dropped 99%, however, the disease is still present today and unfortunately is still not eradicated. In fact, in September of this year the Phillipines declared a polio outbreak. Love the podcast, and especially get excited when you guys ask virus related questions!!” - submitted by Brittany
  • “Alright guys, I'm officially confused. I think every time you do the Everybody Loves Raymond voice impression, you mention 4 kids. They only had 3 kids. Where is this 4th kid coming from? This actually screwed me up at my local trivia night a few weeks ago, when they actually asked how many kids they had on the show. I answered 4 because I thought I remembered it from the podcast. I figured I had just heard wrong, but in this week's episode, there's a 4th kid again!” - submitted by Kevin

Round Two

  • PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING - Which WWE superstar has had the most title reigns?
  • CANDY - In 1995, M&M’s replaced tan with what color?
  • BIRDS - What is the most populous bird in the world?
  • MLB - In the modern baseball era, who earned the title of all-time wild pitch leader over a 27-year long career?
  • BOX OFFICE RECORDS - What was the first movie to cross a billion dollars in box office sales (not adjusted for inflation)?
  • FASHION TRENDS - “Casual Friday” had its beginnings in 1962 in what U.S. State?
  • TIME MAGAZINE - Who born in 1897, did Time Magazine choose as their person of the century in 1999?
  • 2000’s INDIE POP - When the classic indie pop album Give Up by The Postal Service was reissued, the comedy website Funny or Die made a sketch featuring several people auditioning to join the band, including who?
